Supreme Court: Intercaste marriages are good for the country

The Supreme Court of India often takes full-frontal swings at traditional Indian culture, and they are often - but not always - to the benefit of Hinduism. In 2002, the court ruled that priests may come from any caste; more recently they proclaimed that intercaste marriages "are good for the country," and mandated that law enforcement officers crack down on violence stemming from such unions.
